Forschungsschwerpunkte
Meine Forschung beschäftigt sich vorwiegend mit der Erweiterung von Learning Classifier Systemen (LCS), einer Familie von evolutionären regelbasierten Lernverfahren, und deren Anwendung im Kontext von intelligenten, d.h. selbstlernenden adaptiven Systemen. Dabei verfolge ich das Ziel, die unentdeckten Potentiale dieses einzigartigen Lernverfahrens (Selbstadaptivität im Bezug auf kontinuierliche Umweltveränderungen, inkrementeller Aufbau einer interpretierbaren Wissensbasis) aufzuzeigen. Um adäquat und robuster auf zur Systemlaufzeit aufgedeckte Wissenslücken zu reagieren, erweitere ich intelligente Systeme mit Techniken um (1) derartige Lücken in der Wissensbasis transduktiv mittels Interpolation zu schließen, und, (2) proaktiv neues Wissen, z.B. mittels Active Learning, zu erzeugen.
