Prof. Dr. Nina Ditsch
Nina Ditsch's team is involved in basic, translational and healthcare research with a focus on breast cancer. Her own study is based on the needs of patients and integrate the translation of results from basic research into everyday clinical practice. A particular focus is on the investigation of postoperative seromas in the breast with a special interest in immune marker detection for prevention. This includes seroma examinations established for the first time at the UKA, as well as blood, tumor(microenvironment) and microbiome examinations of the skin and surgical site. The following methods are used for this purpose: Flow cytometry, metagenome analysis, immunohistochemistry, cell culture.
