Förderprogramm Wissenschaftliche Veranstaltungen
The Graduate Centre at the University of Augsburg supports early-career researchers with the planning and implementation of academic events at the national and international level (e.g., conferences, symposia, workshops).
Aim of the funding programme
• Increasing the visibility and development of the research profile
• Establishing and expanding research networks and academic exchange at international and national levels
• The possibility to grain practical experience in academic project management
• Interdisciplinary collaboration between early-career researchers at the University of Augsburg
Who is eligible for funding?
Early-career researchers who are in the doctoral, postdoctoral, or habilitation phases at the University of Augsburg are eligible to apply for funding. Applying as a team is also possible.
What is funded?
• Costs related to the implementation of an event (e.g., room rental, event equipment, honoraria)
• Project-related material expenses (e.g., marketing, conference platform for digital content and formats)
• Project-related travel expenses for invited guests (e.g., keynote speakers)
• Catering costs (e.g., drinks) can only be covered to a limited extent
In addition to financial support for the project, funded applicants can take part in a workshop on organising international events organised by the Graduate Centre.
It is desirable that the event has an interdisciplinary orientation, but this is not a prerequisite for funding.

Up to € 3,000 can be applied for per project.
Start of funding
Funding starts upon receipt of the confirmation of funding.
Application deadline
Applications can be submitted until 30 September 2025.
