The Albert Leimer Fund is an aid fund for female students and doctoral candidates at UniA who find themselves in special circumstances and require short-term financial support. 


The offer is aimed in particular at: 

  • Single female students/promoters
  • Female students/promoters with a history of migration
  • Female students/promoters in challenging family situations

Central award criteria: 

  • Enrolment at the UniA
  • Existence of a short-term financial emergency
  • Other financial support options are excluded or insufficient. 

Amount of support: 

  • As a rule, financial support of 500 to 1,000 euros is granted per case. 
  • Procedure: 
  • Faculty Women's Representative, Equal Opportunities Office, Family Service, Campus Parents' Initiative e.V. or other offices at UniA recognise the need and refer those affected to the Albert Leimer Assistance Fund.
  • Student/promoter submits an informal written application (max. 2 pages), if available with evidence of the emergency situation (e.g. rejection notice, notice of cancellation of accommodation, etc.) by e-mail to the Equal Opportunities Office.
  • The Equal Opportunities Office and the University Women's Representative will review the application and inform the applicant of the decision. 
  • The approved amount will be transferred to the account of the person concerned. 

Duration: 

  • A decision on the application is usually made promptly (max. 2 weeks).
