When does it start?

• Start of sale: the morning of the 25.09.2023
• Valid from 01.10.2023

Price

• € 15.89 per month via subscription
• The subscription always begins on the 1^st of the month.
• Cancellation is possible up until the 10^th of each month.

Validity

• All of Germany, but only on regional and local public transport. It is not valid for use on long-distance trains, buses, etc.
• Ticket is non-transferable.
• The semester ticket is valid independently of the Bavarian concession ticket (Bayerischen Ermäßigungsticket) in the greater Augsburg area.
• If you are in possession of an “Upgrade-Lösung zur Campus Card,” it will be cancelled by the AVV by the end of September. You can then buy the concession ticket via the swa mobile app.

Purchasing the ticket

You can buy the Bavarian concession ticket from the end of September via the swa mobile app.

1. Click on the D-Ticket icon in the swa mobile app.
2. You will be redirected to the new swa customer portal, where you can buy the Bavarian concession ticket. Your data will be automatically synchronised with the university.
3. Then log in to the “Deutschlandticket” section of the swa mobile app, where you will find the ticket.

What applies to whom?
 

Students without a "Deutschlandticket": You can buy the Bavarian concession ticket from the end of September via the swa mobile app.

Students with the "Upgrade-Lösung zur Campus Card": This card will be automatically cancelled by the AVV at the end of September. You can then buy the Bavarian concession ticket via the swa mobile app.

Students with the regular "Deutschlandticket": You can cancel your ticket by the 10^th of September and then buy the Bavarian concession ticket at the end of September via the swa mobile app.

General ticket information

Students at the University of Augsburg and the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences can purchase the “Deutschlandticket” for the reduced price of €15.89 per month instead of €49. The Bavarian concession ticket is valid from the 1^st of October and can be purchased via the swa mobile app from the end of September.

Price information

Price
With the Bavarian concession ticket, the Free State of Bavaria is subsidising the “Deutschlandticket” for students to the amount of €20. For students at the University of Augsburg and the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, the subsidy is credited to the semester ticket so that the “Deutschlandticket” costs only €15.89.

Validity
The same rules apply as for the “Deutschlandticket”. This means the ticket can be used on all regional and local public transport throughout all of Germany.
 

Conditions of subscription
The subscription renews automatically but can be cancelled by the 10^th of each month. Cancellation takes effect at the beginning of the new month. 

Cancellation of existing subscriptions (important)

• If you have an “Upgrade-Lösung” to the “Deutschlandticket,” you will be informed by the AVV that it will be cancelled at the end of September. You can then buy the “Upgrade” to the concession ticket at the end of September via the swa mobile app.
• If you already have a regular “Deutschlandticket,” you need to cancel it by the 10^th of September.

Purchase the ticket via the mobile app.

Unlike the “Deutschlandticket,” the Bavarian concession ticket is only available digitally via the swa mobile app. Proof of identity is also required, which occurs automatically via a data comparison with the University of Augsburg. The Bavarian concession ticket for students is valid from the 1^st of October and will be available for purchase via the swa mobile app from the end of September. The exact dates will be announced via the app or on the internet (www.sw-augsburg.de/deutschlandticket).
