Info events for first-semester students
The introductory events for first-semester students provide a good start to your new studies and inform you about all the important aspects of your studies. There you will get to know contact persons and fellow students. In the subject-specific introductory events, you will learn how your degree programme is structured, how you can organise your studies and which events are necessary in the first semester and in the further course of your studies. In the general introductory events you will receive basic information about studying at the University of Augsburg and the comprehensive facilities for students. The central introductory event for first-year students of all degree programmes will take place on Wednesday, 11 October and Thursday, 12 October 2023, both from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. (identical event) in the Sigma lecture hall (SHS, see map, not on campus). After the welcome by the Vice President Prof. Dr. Andreas Rathgeber, the various service facilities and service platforms will introduce themselves. Expected programme sequence: In the subject-specific introductory events, you will learn how your degree programme is structured, how to organise your studies and which events are necessary in the 1st semester and in the further course of studies.
General introduction for first semester students
We recommend that you attend the central introductory event, as this is where you will receive answers to your questions as well as a competent interdisciplinary introduction to your studies. If the event is parallel to subject-specific introductory events, we recommend attending the latter. Information on the timetable is given in the introductory events of the degree programmes and subjects.
