We are excited to share some highlights from our colleague Florian Auer's research stay at the renowned Ideker Lab at UC San Diego in November!

Florian had the great opportunity to work with the creative minds behind the world-renowned Cytoscape network visualization software and the NDEx platform. These platforms play a central role in the visualization and exchange of biological networks.

Many thanks to Trey Ideker, Professor of Genomics and Systems Biology, for the invitation and the inspiring collaboration. Florian also benefited from the support of Jing Chen (Head of Software Development) and Keiichiro Ono (Bioinformatics Software Engineer), whose insights and expertise contributed significantly to the further development of web-based visualization.

Another highlight was the reunion with Dexter Pratt, Director of the NDEx project. Together, they worked to improve the accessibility and exchange of biological network data - an important contribution to the global research community.

New impulses for the MISIT chair

Florian's stay not only created exciting synergies, but also generated valuable new ideas and insights that he is now incorporating into our work at the MISIT Chair. The close collaboration with the Cytoscape and NDEx teams was an inspiring example of interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and international cooperation.
