Research Associate

  • Research Associate (Digitalization and Material Modeling)

We are looking for a Research Associate in the Digital Ceramic Matrix Composites (Digital CMC) group. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to pioneering research in digitalization, material modeling, and advanced data analysis within a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform material modeling using commercial finite element software to investigate and optimize composite materials.
  • Drive the Chair's digitalization initiatives, enhancing workflows, data management, and research collaboration.
  • Develop advanced data analysis tools in Python, utilizing machine learning methods for innovative solutions.
  • Publish research outcomes in high-impact scientific journals and present findings at conferences.
  • Contribute to funding acquisition by drafting and submitting project proposals.

Requirements:

  • A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Informatics or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and its application to data analysis.
  • Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
