Summer School 'Wissenssoziologische Diskursanalyse' (in German)

The next German-language Summer School 'Wissenssoziologische Diskursanalyse' at the University of Augsburg takes place on July 22-24, 2024.

 

In the past decade, discourse research in the social sciences and humanities has experienced a strong boom. Methodological training in the various disciplines has only partially taken this into account. In particular, the questions of concrete work on the text or the handling of different data formats and the interpretation of data in the context of discourse research are among the gaps in methodological training.

 

The Summer School 'Wissenssoziologische Diskursanalyse' (WDA) is aimed at academics from various social science and humanities disciplines who work or want to work with discourse theory and discourse analysis perspectives of WDA in qualification projects or research projects.

It offers

  • an introduction to the theoretical and conceptual foundations of WDA,
  • an introduction to methodological implementations and their exemplary testing in joint analyses of data provided by the organisers,
  • the opportunity to discuss questions and research designs of WDA-based discourse and dispositive research, and
  • contribute questions from your own ongoing projects or project plans to the discussions.
