The Chair of Statistics offers scientific consulting on statistical questions and data analysis for students of the Faculty of Economics as well as for scientists at the institutes and faculties of the University of Augsburg and for independent companies.

The choice of adequate statistical methods or data analysis procedures is not always easy. The Chair of Statistics can advise you on this issue during your project.

The consulting is available for the following groups:

• For students of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Augsburg
• For scientists at the institutes and faculties of the University of Augsburg
• For independent companies

The internal statistical consulting service can be used by students of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Augsburg in the context of bachelor's/master's theses. Support is provided in the form of an oral consultation. For examination reasons, however, the advice is only given upon request and in the presence of the respective supervisor.

To request an internal consultation, please write an e-mail to yarema.okhrin@wiwi.uni-augsburg.de, in which you describe the essential aspects of the work and outline where consultation is needed.

Note: Consulting in the context of seminar or practical work is not possible!

The internal statistical consulting service is available to all scientists at the institutes and faculties of Augsburg University who, in the course of their empirical research work, are concerned with the selection and application (e.g. with python, R or SPSS) of statistical procedures or advanced methods for data analysis. Support is provided in the form of a (free) oral consultation.

In the interdisciplinary cooperation we want to propose statistical methods appropriate to the problem and give you suggestions for the computer-aided execution of the analyses. The integration of scientific knowledge in the field of statistics and data analysis into practice is our concern. By applying statistical methods in different disciplines, we also hope to receive suggestions for our own methodological research.

The form of consulting can range from a simple oral consultation to commissioned (partial) analyses to jointly supervised theses. Of course, all your data and the results of the analysis will be treated strictly confidential.
