As an interdisciplinary research institution at the University of Augsburg, the research center aims to bring together the interdisciplinary interests of its members in the fields of health and illness, medicine and health systems, and biotechnology to stimulate innovative research in the form of joint collaborative projects. Consequently, a central concern of the CIHR is to initiate, promote, and support interdisciplinary research proposals. In this context, the CIHR offers its members a wide range of support services that can help advance a research project step by step from the initial idea, to identifying specific funding opportunities, to preparing and submitting relevant applications, to project management, and to planning accompanying events for the general public and the scientific community.
