The Graduate Centre continues to support in 2025 active participation in academic conferences as well as research and archival research travel that are part of a university qualification (e.g., master’s degree, doctorate, habilitation, or habilitation equivalent). Active participation entails giving a lecture, presenting a poster, or having an official function. Participation in seminars and courses is not eligible for funding.

Funding

Conference fees and travel expenses will be funded (excluding daily expenses and meals in accordance with the Bavarian Travel Expenses Act (Bayerisches Reisekostengesetz, BayRKG)). Each applicant is eligible for one funding grant:

- for conference trips:

▪ within Germany of max. 500.00 Euro

▪ within Europe of max. 900.00 Euro

▪ outside of Europe of max. 1.500,00 Euro

- for research and archival research travel of max. 1.000,00 Euro

Up to two applications per Chair/Professorship for each conference are eligible for funding. One person is eligible for funding per presentation.
