The Welcome Service of the International Office (Akademisches Auslandsamt) is the central consultation center for researchers from abroad and also supports the supervising chairs and institutes.

We are very pleased about your interest in the University of Augsburg and hope to welcome you soon and enable you to have a good start here. Therefore, we support you already prior to your arrival with all important questions concerning your stay with us.

You will receive specific support from us, e.g. when looking for accommodation or for childcare facilities for accompanying children, as well as a lot of information on formalities such as the obligation to register, employment, opening a bank account, insurances, etc. We would also like to simplify for you the access to central university facilities.
