Centre for Climate Resilience at POLLEN 2024: "Towards plural and just futures"

Prof. Dr. Angela Oels presented her joint research with Alina Kaltenberg, in which they examine how discourses on climate change and migration ("climate mobilities") have changed over the last decade. Marie Fischer presented first results of a discourse analysis on the operationalization of the multilateral fund for loss and damage from climate change, which she is working on together with Prof. Dr. Angela Oels.

The conference was held in hybrid form in Peru, Tanzania and Sweden and brought both academic and activist perspectives from political ecology into the dialog. At the interface of environment and politics, the ecological crises of our time were discussed over three intensive days. Particularly inspiring were the research findings resulting from the combination of personal involvement in social movements with systematic data collection. The network conference highlighted the need for an interdisciplinary approach to environmental and climate resilience.
