German Language and Literature (M.A.)
Study content:
The teaching programme of the Master's degree programme in German Studies comprises the areas of Modern German Literature, German Linguistics, Language and Literature of the Middle Ages as well as Didactics of German Language and Literature. An extensive optional area allows for the targeted formation of interests and an individual specialisation for students. In addition to the integration of practical-creative and interdisciplinary options within the Augsburg module plan, a one-semester stay abroad can be undertaken. This Master's programme is also suitable for those interested in the Gymnasium teaching programme.

- List of all academic achievements ('Transcript of Records')
- Proof of language skills on level B1 CEFR in one modern foreign language (in the case that language skills cannot be proven by your degree)
- Proof of Latin language skills at level "gesicherte Kenntnisse" or one additional foreign language on the level B1 CEFR
The Bachelor’s degree certificate or comparable degree can be submitted later: If you will receive a Bachelor's degree or comparable degree in the current semester, you can apply with your ‘Transcript of Records’ if you have already earned at least 140 credit points.

- The Bachelor's degree certificate or comparable degree must be provied as a certified copy or certified translation by a translator sworn in Germany if the originals are not written in German or French. (Please note: China, Vietnam and India only with original APS certificate).
- List of all academic achievements (‘Transcript of Records’); in a sworn translation (if not in German or English)
- Proof of language skills on level B1 CEFR in one modern foreign language (in the case that language skills cannot be proven by your degree or your mother tongue).
- Proof of Latin language skills on level "gesicherte Kenntnisse" or one additional foreign language on the level B1 CEFR
- Proof of German language skills on level C2 CEFR
The Bachelor's degree certificate or a comparable degree can be submitted later: If you will receive a Bachelor's degree or another a comparable degree in the current semester, you can apply provisionally with your ‘Transcript of Records’ if you have already acquired at least 140 credit points.
